Kimberly Perkins Klintworth
Kimberly Perkins Klintworth has a 26-year career in television broadcasting - including co-hosting "PM Magazine" in Rochester, New York (1982-84) and reporting and anchoring at KDKA-TV in Pittsburgh, PA. (1984-88). Her longest time was spent anchoring the 5:30 and 10:00PM weekday newscasts for KTVX-TV in Salt Lake City, from 1988 to December of 2000 - when she "retired" to spend more time with her husband Skip and 4 children. She won 2 Emmy awards during her tenure at KTVX-TV, and was the lead reporter for the station's successful "4 Utah Kids" and "Immunize by 2" campaigns. Kimberly now volunteers her time as founder, executive producer and host of "Profiles in Caring".

"Profiles in Caring" is the best of both worlds for a journalist" she says. "It provides a way of seeing the planet and the myriad of interesting people and projects making it a better place - without the burden of reporting on the grim news that so often saturates the airwaves. No matter how difficult the situations we see, we always leave uplifted, knowing there are people working to improve those conditions and improve lives!"

Lynn Peterson
Lynn Peterson (Profiles in Caring:Executive Producer, Photojournalist, Editor) was born and raised in Salt Lake City, Utah. After attending the University of Utah's Actor Training Program and majoring in Theatre with a minor in Film and Television, he relocated to Hollywood to work as an Assistant Producer for Dolly Parton's Sandollar Productions. After the glitz and glory of Hollywood wore off, Lynn moved back to Salt Lake to pursue a more "artistic" career as he co-founded a small theatre company Falling Skys, starred in over 35 local and international plays, a handful of television and film projects and eventually ended up working as a photojournalist for ABC-4 KTVX.

It was at this job, and shortly after 9-11, that Lynn and the recently retired Kimberly Perkins, developed the idea of "taking good stories about people helping others" away from an abbreviated news story format and into full half hour documentaries: Profiles in Caring.
